This grain loaded semi trucker was minding his own business and went to turn a corner in town and got stuck. Luckily, no one was beside him when he attempted to make the limited turn. His rear trailer tires hit the stop light pole, damaging two of the rear axles, which meant the truck could not move, explained the witness.

They say that the truth is often stranger than fiction and this seems to be the case here. Who would have thought that a big rig would get stuck while turning a corner? This does raise a few interesting questions for the police such as, given the size of the big rig, what was he doing on downtown streets instead of the usual bypass routes, asked the expert? Was he paying attention to what he was doing? One wonders, given the results of his botched attempt to turn the corner.

While it didn’t seem like a big deal to have him stuck on a stop sign pole, the damages left behind when the whole ordeal was over were significant, not to mention the inconvenience for the local traffic. This rig could just as easily have turned over after hitting the pole. Truck accidents like this one rarely happen in areas like Queens and Staten Island.

An accident occurred in Bath County on Monday, where a chart driver was killed when his semi truck went over Highway 64 overpass. The semi truck landed in a creek below the overpass and the truck driver was unable to get out, therefore he died from drowning.

The coroner in Bath County told a reporter that the day was very windy in the area at the time. He thought that the high winds were a contributor to the truck driver’s death. Police also reported that the truck driver was on his way to Virginia. Eventually he would have wound up in New York City and then, Westchester County.

He had left Detroit with auto parts loaded to his semi-truck. He was on the job and had not anticipated that anything would happen. It was when rescuers began to search that they found the truck driver’s body that Thursday night approximately 7 p.m.

On Wednesday evening, a minivan and a semi-truck crashed and exploded in a fiery collision. This happened in the Ohio area on Highway 275. The truck accident took place approximately 5:45 p.m. as fire trucks and their crews rushed to the scene in order to clear the accident scene.

The fire truck and its crews told a policeman that at least one lane remained closed for a long time. Workers were called to scene to remove the debris and the media also came to the scene to report the accident. Bridge inspectors arrived on the scene the next day to make sure that the highway was safe for other travelers.

Some witnesses reported to the police that the semi-truck was traveling eastbound on Highway 275. They reported that it seemed as if the driver could not control the vehicle and therefore the vehicle began to swerve while hitting the guard rail. Suddenly fire exploded from the truck as soon as it came to a stop. Semi Truck accidents like this one are common on the Long Island Expressway in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. The LIE seems to be the kind of road that promotes accidents where the moving vehicle hits a guard rail and spins out of control.

No one goes off to work in the morning thinking they may be in an truck accident. The trucker in this accident case wasn’t expecting to overturn his rig either, said a friend. Unfortunately, it happened and the truck blocked large portions of the Interstate near an exit ramp. Traffic was re-routed around the big rig and on to the shoulder.

The police report is not clear on what caused the trucker to overturn his rig. They are searching for his cell phone and any other items in the cab of the truck that will give them some idea of what he was doing just prior to the accident. They will want to know if he was texting or talking on his cell phone, using a computer while driving or adjusting his GPS on the dashboard. It only takes mere seconds of inattention to the road to lose control of an 18-wheeler, explained the source.

The roads at the time weren’t in the best condition and there is also some speculation that the truck accident may have been caused by the semi hitting a patch of black ice, which raises the question of what speed the trucker was going. The police will be checking the onboard computer to find out his speed and whether or not he applied his brakes before rolling over.

In a slightly bizarre twist of events, this trucker, who went out of his way to avoid a truck accident, ended up getting into a crash anyway, recounted a witness. He overturned and as a result of that, ended up blocking the whole southbound lane of the highway for about five hours.

Evidently, a car on the highway just ahead of the tanker, swerved in order to avoid a box that was in the middle of the road. The semi, with nowhere else to do, then veered sideways to try and avoid hitting the car. He was carrying 5,100 gallons of gas.

Unfortunately, the trucker hit the median and the rig overturned, spilling about 2,000 gallons of fuel out across the road. EMS crews were on the scene in minutes, their focus trying to contain the gas from spreading. They knew that any spark could trigger the whole river of gas and send it up in a roaring conflagration explained the police.

This was a horrific truck accident that devastated the lives of many, said the report. The family of the dead man in this case filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the trucker that backed up over their dad in a parking lot.

The semi driver was attempting to move his rig to a different location in the parking lot and for some reason, failed to see the man walking behind him. Unfortunately, that man lost his life and even though responding EMS crews got there fast, reported the witness, he didn’t survive his injuries from the truck accident.

There are obviously some questions the police will need answered in this case, not the least of which is why was the deceased walking behind a big rig in one of the trucker’s blind spots? Why was he walking behind a moving rig in the first place? Did he fail to hear the backup warning signals, asked the questioner? Why was the driver backing up and not checking behind his truck? And why would the deceased, a trucker himself, walk into the path of a moving semi? In Brooklyn and Staten Island there would be an investigation.

But for a chain of errors, this truck accidentmay not have happened, reported an observer. This accident would almost be comical if it were not for the fact that there were children involved in the accident. What happened is that an SUV was barreling down the highway, when the female driver suddenly found herself confronted with a car in front of her that suddenly slowed down.

With no other options open to her, the woman swung the SUV out of the left hand lane and promptly hit the rear end of big rig in the right hand lane. The 18-wheeler didn’t sustain any damage, but the same could not be said for the SUV, commented the reporter. The semi driver pulled onto the shoulder and the SUV parked on the median while waiting for the police to arrive with a tow truck, as the SUV was in no condition to drive.

When medical crews also arrived, the woman refused treatment for herself and her two children, saying she would go to her own doctor to have her kids checked out. They were complaining of pain from being suddenly restrained by their seatbelts when the SUV hit the back of the truck, explained the doctor. Frankly, this family was really lucky to make it out of this accident with seemingly minor injuries. It could have been far worse for everyone, and in particular the children.

Strange things sometimes happen when you least expect them. This trucker and trucker accident case was unusual, as it did not involve moving vehicles, which should have meant a relatively benign outcome. Unfortunately, given the nature of the injuries, that may not be the case, indicated the police report.

This truck accident took place at a car manufacturing plant and happened just as the two semis were leaving the premises. One of the rigs stopped on its way out of the lot for an inspection before hitting the road. Evidently, the driver had some trouble opening the doors.

The driver of the other rig, noticing that his buddy was having problems, came over to help him out. As he got out to help the other trucker, the big rig moved forward and pinned both of them between the trucks; a pretty horrific truck accident, commented the officer.

This particular truck accident was logged in as one of the worst anyone had even seen. What happened? A semi careened into a line of stopped traffic, killing five and injuring at least 10 others, some very severely reported the observer.

The most shocking aspect of this story is that the driver of the big rig did not even pause or give any signs of slowing down, even with a line of stopped cars in front of him. The cars were stopped at the site of a previous accident to allow EMS crews to do their work.

When the semi hit the end of the line, the whole line bunched up like an accordion, leaving death and destruction in its wake. The police report indicated that there were no skid marks involved in this truck wreck and that the truck was doing 70 mph when it hit the last car in the line, said the police. According to witnesses, the trucker was driving erratically just prior to being involved in the accident.

This case is an example of what “could” have happened if there had been any other vehicles around the semi that rolled on its side. That kind of a visual will bring a shock of fear to most people. Who wants to be involved in a truck accidentwith a semi?

In this semi wreck, the big rig was heading north when it started to fishtail on slippery roads. As a result of the rear end doing its thing, the truck then rolled over on its side, blocking six lanes of traffic. Can you just imagine what would have happened if all six lanes had traffic in them when the truck went down, asked the press?

The driver walked from this crash without injuries and considered himself to be pretty lucky at that. But for the fact that there was no one else around at the time of the morning when the accident happened, both he and other drivers may have suffered severe injuries, observed the police. As it was, it took emergency response crews at least six hours to repair a damaged guardrail before four lanes were reopened for use.
