Some days, it doesn’t pay to get out of bed. This particular day was not a good one for this woman and her two children. The woman, who was driving a PT Cruiser was headed east on a street when she careened into a commercial truck that was heading south.

While the details are not crystal clear in this case, what is known is that the woman blew a red light just prior to the accident. She was taken to the hospital. Thankfully, the two children were not hurt and the trucker was in good shape as well, said the source.

Chances are that the police with cite the woman for running the red light and will also want to take some time to find out what she was doing just before going through it. They will want to find her cell phone and determine whether or not she was using it at the time of the truck accident, as in texting or having a conversation while driving.

In a case of having horse shoes in your pocket, two people, a husband and wife, were suddenly involved in one of the weirdest truck accidents anyone had ever seen and survived with non life-threatening injuries.

As the couple was traveling northbound on the highway, two tires came whipping through the air and hit their car. The tires had come off a southbound semi. In the ensuing wreck, the EMTs had to use the Jaws of Life to get the husband out of the car. Both victims were taken to the hospital and later released, sore and bruised, but alive and lucky not to have any life threatening injuries.

This type of truck accident does not happen often, but when it does, the consequences can be quite devastating. There have actually been cases in which people were killed when struck by a flying tire. The main question in this case, is why the tires came off and the police fully intend to track the truck down and find out what happened, explained the Accident Lawyer. Their main reason for doing that is to determine if there was any negligence on the part of the trucker or the trucking company that owns the truck.

In winter, you can virtually count on the fact that the roads are going to be less than safe. Driving at highway speeds is usually not a good idea.

In this truck accident involving an SUV and a semi, five were injured, including three children. All the victims were taken to the nearest hospital for treatment, while the police remained at the scene trying to determine what happened. All five occupants of the SUV were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

It appears as if the SUV was heading south and the trucker was heading north. The SUV driver lost control of his vehicle as the result of an icy, snow covered highway. The SUV veered into the north lane. The trucker, seeing them coming, swerved into the south lane to try and avoid or minimize the accident. Unfortunately, he was not able to mitigate the wreck, indicated the investigator.

Anytime an 18-wheeler is involved in a car wreck, the results are never pretty, said the New York Truck Accident Lawyer. This case is a prime example of a terrible wreck that killed two elderly people; a pastor and his wife. The collision happened at an intersection and involved two semis. Somehow or other, the pastor’s vehicle was caught in between the two trucks and the truck behind them rear ended their car, causing an underride accident.

The police want to know a whole lot more about this accident and are asking anyone with any information to come forward. They want to find out if anyone saw the accident or saw the two trucks just before the accident. Given the fact that the truck behind the car rear-ended them, indicates that he was not paying attention to the road and it may also indicate he was speeding, as the force of the impact shoved the car under the truck in front.

Accidents like this are devastating for the family left behind and in this case, the family would likely have a solid wrongful death case to take to a personal injury lawyer, explained the New York City Truck Accident Lawyer. There will be other things that the police want to find out, including what the trucker was doing before the accident. In cases like this where a truck rear-ends another vehicle, you can count on the fact that the driver was not paying attention to driving.

The accident that sparked this wrongful death lawsuit happened in 2005 when a husband and wife spent a weekend with friends in another city. They were on their way home, when they were stopped in a construction zone on the highway.

Minutes later, a tractor-trailer rammed into the whole line of traffic stopped for the construction zone, killing the husband and three others in the carnage. The wife sustained catastrophic injuries. Four years later, the court rendered its verdict; a $15 million settlement for the wife who lost her husband due to the negligence of the trucker, said a New York Trucking Accident Lawyer.

Sadly, although the judgment could have helped the family continue with their lives and made some reparation for the horrific ordeal, the trucking company won’t be paying it within the foreseeable future. They moved all of their assets, including their trucks, into four other business entities to avoid paying. No one even knows if the original company is in business any longer, stated the observer who has seen similar accidents in Manhattan and Queens.

In some cases, the truth is stranger than fiction and this case has all of those elements; a bit of hard, cold truth and an old world element of what may be considered to be fiction, but, is also truth.

A 60-year old Amish woman who survived a very ugly tractor trailer crash that killed three and left more than a dozen others badly injured, has declined to sue the trucker who caused the accident, indicated a New York Truck Accident Lawyer. That is the Amish way; not to take money from others when a situation is considered to be God’s will. And, according to God’s will, she would not participate in suing the man who killed her father.

The truck that hit them was fully loaded with scrap metal – 13 tons of it. The trucker had been driving for more than 86 hours over an 8-day period and was in violation of the hours of service regulations. He had been cited 41 times for fraudulently altering logbooks.

The weather took a turn for the worse in this case and when it did, the consequences were not pretty.

Freezing mist was falling on the highway and those traveling it were hard-pressed to get any traction. They even had a hard time going the designated speed limit, as the road conditions were so treacherous. Further back down the highway, five people were headed north in a Pontiac G5. On another road, up ahead of the Pontiac, was an empty logging truck and trailer just pulling out onto the highway and about to start heading south.

The Pontiac had no idea the truck was there, as they were climbing a hill. When they hit the top of the crest and realized the truck was right in front of them, they tried to slow their forward momentum down. The ice was too bad and the wheels spun out of control, sending the vehicle directly into the path of the logging truck.

A 77-year-old man died last week in a motor vehicle accident involving his van and a cattle-hauling semi. Family members are still shocked.

The deceased’s sister says, “He was always very cautious. That’s what we can’t understand. He was always very cautious when he was driving or whatever he was doing.”

The 77-year-old grew up in the Wingham-area near Elm Creek. Later, in 2005, he moved to Portage la Prairie where he lived with his brother. He lived there with him until just last year when the brother died.

Sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction, and in this instance, this appears to be the case. No one is quite sure what happened to prompt this completely bizarre accident, but an investigation will try to piece together the evidence later.

What is known for now is the following; that a 71-year-old man died in a semi-truck fire and his body was found when the firefighters dispatched to handle the call found him. It isn’t clear how he got to be there and the fire department can only speak to the fact that they found a burning tractor-trailer outside a trucking company when they arrived on the scene, said a New York Trucking Accident Lawyer.

The fire department was called out in response to what sounded like two explosions at about 2 a.m. The big rig was fully engulfed when they got there and it took some time to knock the flames down. It was then that they found the body. From the initial investigations, completed at the scene when the body was first discovered, it looks as though a truck hit a parked semi, caused the tires to spin and ignited a conflagration. It also appeared that the flames then spread to the cab explained.
